CRADLE TO GRAVE: New Song Posted Online
November 8, 2007CRADLE TO GRAVE, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based band featuring ex-AGGRESSION guitarist Denis "Sasquatch" Barthe, has posted the track "Five Years of Fire" on the group's MySpace page. The song is taken from the band's upcoming album, "Texas Medicine", which was mixed and mastered by Devin Townsend (LAMB OF GOD, DARKEST HOUR, GWAR) and will be released in early 2008 on Year of the Sun Records.
Commented Barthe: "As we sit down and listen to our new CD, we can't believe how much Devin Townsend's contribution made a huge difference. Devin is an awesome dude. We all clicked right away in good old Canadian metal fashion and we lighted up the sky together. What a rush."
He added, "The album sounds as good as anything out there. The closest I could think of would be SLAYER's 'Christ Illusion' for sound and a mix of SLAYER and SUPERJOINT RITUAL with a touch of old school punk (AGNOSTIC FRONT, D.R.I.) for the overall songwriting."
CRADLE TO GRAVE's "Texas Medicine" was recorded at Speaker Freaker Studios in Surrey, British Columbia. The album is the follow-up to 2004's the group's critically acclaimed debut album, "CTG".
